We have added a "Rabbits" page to our website, as we have had lots of queries regarding whether or not we are experienced rabbit vets - and the good news is that we are!
We are genuinely passionate about providing an excellent service to our rabbit patients (and their owners!).
Rabbits are very much unique, and need to be treated as such.
We will routinely place IV cannulas, give IV fluids, and place breathing tubes during any rabbit anaesthetic.
Companion rabbits will also be kept together where possible.
Both of our vets have regularly spayed and castrated lots of rabbits in the past, in addition to performing other procedures such as lump removals etc. You can find prices for rabbit neutering on our price list here.
We will always give rabbits pain relief after procedures and this is included in the cost of neutering with us.
Rabbit anaesthesia can be more complicated, but we have a confident team who are experienced with rabbit anaesthesia, and while we can never say it is risk free, we do not fear anaesthetising rabbits but we do monitor them very closely to minimise those risks.
We have a dedicated upstairs waiting area and upstairs consultation rooms for cats/rabbits and other small pets so that they can be completely separate from any possible barking dogs downstairs.
We offer what we feel is a very comprehensive but affordable Rabbit Health Care Plan, which includes the extra brand new rabbit vaccine recommended by the RWAF (LIMITED STOCK AVAILABLE).
You also have the option of upgrading to an "Unlimited Consultations" Rabbit Health Care plan, especially useful with rabbits who tend to hide signs of illness. For more information on our rabbit healthcare plan, please click here.
We will be applying for official "Rabbit Friendly Vets" accreditation from RWAF soon, which one of our vets Aisling helped to achieve at a previous practice, so we hope to have this confirmed ASAP.
If you have any further questions, please ask us!
We look forward to seeing your bunnies soon!
