Being a Health Care Plan member ensures that your pet gets all of the health checks and preventative healthcare they need, to keep them as happy and healthy as possible.
You want to keep your pet safe – and at Pear Tree Vets, we want to make that simple.
Our easy pet health care plans can help you spread the cost of preventative care, including vaccines, regular health checks and flea and worm treatment.
However, we know one size doesn’t fit all – which is why our preventative care is tailored to your pet, including separate indoor and outdoor plans for cats, and a holistic plan that includes vaccination titre testing and faecal testing.

Want UNLIMITED CONSULTATIONS?
All of our plans have the option to add on unlimited consultations with both vets and nurses for an extra £10 per month. This means that whether your pet needs a nail clip or their anal glands expressed, has a sore eye or a sore foot, you won't have any consultation fees to pay! We want to be able to offer you peace of mind without you having to worry about the consult fee.
Our comprehensive Dog Health Care Plan is divided into two simple weight bands, less than 25kg and greater than 25kg.
We have an option of tablet-based flea & worm treatments (which we recommend where possible), but also a spot-on based option for those dogs that are tricky to give tablets to!
All core vaccinations (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus and Leptospirosis) are covered, and in addition, we include a vaccine against Kennel Cough.
As well as seeing a vet once a year for their health check and vaccines, we also offer a complimentary nurse check up around 6 months after their vet appointment, to check that all is well, and give you advice on any concerns.
Microchipping is included, not to mention a 10% discount on neutering too.
Don't forget the option to upgrade to UNLIMITED CONSULTATIONS, which includes both vet and nurse appointments, for an extra £10 per month.
We offer two different cat health care plans depending on whether your cat has outdoor access or not.
If an indoor-only cat has any close contact with outdoor-access cats, stray cats or cats of unknown vaccination status, they should be treated the same as an outdoor-access cat.
The discounted indoor-only plan is for cats who never go outdoors and are never in contact with cats who go outdoors. They will only have one dose of flea and worming per year (rather than being covered year-round) and will only be vaccinated against cat flu and panleukopaenia (not FeLV). If you have any cats who do go outdoors, or have stray cats come into your house, you should treat all of your cats as though they are indoor/outdoor cats.
Both of our Cat Health Care Plans, Indoor & Outdoor, offer an annual health check with the vet, a 6 month health check with one of our nurses, complimentary microchip and 10% off neutering.
Both plans include vaccinations against Cat Flu and Feline Panleukopenia, where only our Outdoor Cat Plan includes vaccination against Feline Leukaemia Virus (FeLV).
While our Indoor Cat Plan only includes a single flea & worm treatment once per year, our Outdoor Plan includes year round cover.
Don't forget the option to upgrade to UNLIMITED CONSULTATIONS, which includes both vet and nurse appointments, for an extra £10 per month.
Our Holistic Health Care Plan is for owners who want to minimise their use of vaccinations and anti-parasite treatments, while still monitoring their pets health and having regular check ups.
You still receive your annual health check with the vet, but instead of routinely receiving a booster vaccination, we will include Vaccine Titre Testing when appropriate, while still including core vaccinations that we cannot titre test for (Leptospirosis). If the titre test indicates a DHP vaccine is required, then that is also included.
We will test your dogs faeces quarterly to check Faecal Egg Counts and also to check for the presence of Lungworm.
Microchipping is included, not to mention a 10% discount on neutering too.
Don't forget the option to upgrade to UNLIMITED CONSULTATIONS, which includes both vet and nurse appointments, for an extra £10 per month.
NB Kennel Cough vaccination, and flea & worm treatment are NOT included on this plan.
If you'd like to give your rabbit the best possible protection, then you can consider joining our Rabbit Health Care Plan.
We include BOTH the current Nobivac vaccine AND the brand new YURVAC vaccine.
The brand new YURVAC vaccine covers against the "highly virulent" strain of RVHD2 (Rabbit Viral Haemorrhagic Disease Type 2).
The current Nobivac vaccine does protect against both Myxomatosis and RVHD (1+2), however due to the emergence of the new "highly virulent" strain of RVHD, the Rabbit Welfare Association and Fund (RWAF) are recommending moving forwards that rabbits have both the Nobivac vaccine and the new YURVAC vaccine.
We will be applying to be on the Recommended Rabbit Friendly Vets list soon, and we are proud to offer a completely separate waiting area for Rabbits, Cats and other Small Pets upstairs.
Your Health Care Plan works alongside your pet insurance.
Don't forget to also arrange pet insurance. While our Health Care Plan helps to ensure that your pet is getting all the routine preventative healthcare and checks that they need, pet insurance is important to help you in covering the costs if they suffer from an injury or develop an illness.

Membership of the agreement constitutes an agreement between you and Pear Tree Vets Ltd. Membership and benefits are not transferable to another practice.
You will receive discounted products and services during the course of your membership including, but not limited to, vaccines and flea / worming / tick treatments and a full health check with one of our vets. Full details of what is included are available from the practice.
The fee for your pet will be determined by which plan you choose.
Treatment your pet receives outside of the scope of the Health Care Plan will be charged in accordance with the practice’s normal fees, terms and conditions.
A fair usage policy applies on unlimited consultations and appointments. It does not include consultations outside of working hours, and does not include Advanced Dermatology Investigations with our RCVS Advanced Practitioner Aisling McGrath.
These Pear Tree Vets Health Care Plan terms and conditions should be read in conjunction with any additional information including, but not limited to, literature provided by the practice detailing what is included in the Health Care Plan. That literature forms part of these terms and conditions.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for following our vets’ and nurses’ guidance, and for ensuring your pet attends the practice regularly for the preventative healthcare checks which are included as part of your membership of the Health Care Plan.
If we are unable to maintain your pet’s health because you haven’t followed guidance or attended the practice we may need to terminate your membership. Termination would be in writing as outlined below, and with immediate effect.
Payments
Your membership fees will be collected as a recurring card payment on a monthly basis.
We use Nordhealth Pay to collect payments on our behalf. For the avoidance of doubt, your agreement is with Pear Tree Vets Ltd.
Membership for each pet will renew automatically on the anniversary of the date that your pet joined the Healt Care Plan.
We will tell you in advance, in writing, if there is to be a change in membership fees on your renewal date. We will always give you at least 30 days’ notice of any change in fees as a result of our annual review.
Failed payments, e.g. because of a lack of available funds or a cancelled card, cause a significant increase in administration costs for the practice. We reserve the right to charge an administration fee of £10 for each failed payment. This administration charge will be added to your account.
After a failed payment, we will repeat our payment request to your card within 3-5 working days.
If the second payment request also fails, a second administration charge may be added to your account. We will make a third and final payment request to your bank after a further 3-5 working days. If this payment request is unsuccessful your Health Care Plan membership will be cancelled automatically and your pet will no longer receive the associated benefits and discounts.
If your Health Care Plan membership is cancelled automatically because of failed payments, your account will be reviewed and you will be charged the full price of any products and services received during the course of your membership, minus any membership fees received to date.
Cancelling your membership
You may cancel your membership on your anniversary date (which is the anniversary of the date you joined) by giving us not less than 1 month's notice.
If you cancel your membership before your anniversary date, we will review your account and, where applicable, charge you retrospectively the full price of any products and services received during the course of your membership, minus any membership fees received to date.
We may end our agreement by giving you written notice as outlined below.
Unpaid bills relating to your membership fees, treatment received or medicines dispensed will be handled in accordance with our standard terms and conditions (available on our website: www.peartreevets.co.uk) and may be referred to a third party debt collection agency.
